| about us

Crystal Methamphetamine is a powerfully addicting drug that has a profoundly negative effect on individuals users and disproportionately affects the LGTBQ community. Gay men, in particular, have increased their use of crystal methamphetamine in the last several years, and this increased use has direct consequences on our lives and health. Many users, who try crystal meth on a recreational basis, become addicted quickly, resulting in loss of control over their use, damaged or lost relationships, loss of employment, acquisition of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases, involvement with the legal system, and devestation of self-esteem and self-worth. The cumulative effect of these individual losses wounds the LGTBQ community, as many of our brothers and sisters withdraw into addiction and lose their selves and their lives to it.

This website is dedicated to information and resources to help those who use Crystal Meth, but want to stop. It was originally developed by the Philadelphia Crystal Meth Task Force, which is no longer active. However, the resources listed on this site are still available and we urge you to use them if you want to stop.
